Title: Federation Medium Cruiser

The Federation Medium Cruiser: a fairly common ship, but limited by the special engine that was added. A sub-structure was built to house this small warp engine. The engine is essentially the same one as from a BC's saucer.
The sub-structure also holds the emergency bridge and some quarters (2 C Hull). The moved emergency bridge allows for 2 more offensive phasers to be added to the front bank of the NCL ("New" Light Cruiser). (from 2 to 4 ph1 FH).

The ship's movement cost is 3/4, and has 26 warp.

She's an.. "improvement" over the NCL, yes. I personally find that the NCL has a much better powercurve, but at least this ship has 2 more Ph1-FH.

Out of curiosity, what are your specs for it? I don't have R12 but had been thinking:

Warp 24-28
Imp 4
APR 4
8 P1, 4 Phot, 1-2 DrnG
Shields, Hull, Shuttle, Lab, Control as per NCC or NCA

Take a basic NCL (24 warp)

+2 CHull
+2 Ph1 FH
+2 CWarp
Move cost 3/4.

That's all the differences. *shrug*
