Just curious, I thought the AOTK3 levels were fine (I'm biased though as I wrote the rules).
EDIT: Cheese includes not only ships, but fleeting rules (carriers flying together, etc . . .). AOTK3 was as close to Jakhle's PBR rules as possible for a D2. I liked that way it worked out, maybe some people prefer having BBs Escorted by CVAs.
Off topic, but one rule I'm bringing in from Storm Season II was that if you chase off a Capital ship in an Even-numbered engagement, it's gonna be worth something. On SS2 we had more DNs die than I've ever seen (hell, I lost 2 F-DNHs that server) because people stuck it out longer in the battles because they didn't want to give up the points from running off. This IMHO leads to much more entertaining PvP.

I like pie!....cheese cake is kinda like a pie... ;D
And I offer humble agreement with some kind of disengagment penalty for routed ships...
In just about any routed situation...even if undamaged....it would take some time to re-establish and re-organize...relay current sit rep to fleet comend...check battle orders. and either redeploy or re-engage in the battle...
The more ships routed....the longer it should take to rondevue ,regroup, re-establish a battle posture, and re-enter the fight...

Amen, anything to keep you from always running like a girl is good in my book. I prefer when you take it like a cabin boy.

Hey, Pink is a great warrior color, my warhammer 40,000 troops are pink. Nothing strikes fear in the enemy more then an ocean of pink comming at you.

You haven't seen the Gorn Dreads from GW5 have you?

Why not finally make it easy and say you can never disengage in PvP? We haven't the time or numbers to flit around for hours looking for the perfect draft. Time for fun! (Paid for by the Campaign to Increase the Population of Stovokor).
Then remove all penalties for dying if you are in the same class or higher than thise who killed you.

Well, I wouldn't say never can disengage I can understand you can't find a perfect match, but if I am flying a frigate and a Dread drafts me, I want the ability to leave (although I have fought these out before, but I have asked permission to run also. Which was nicely given).
As for penalties for dying, wouldn't it be no penalty if you are in same class or smaller. I think if that frigate captain did blow up a Dread, the Dread captain should get a penalty, but a frigate poped by a Dread is expected so why penalize.
Tho you can say that the lose of ship and prestige is the main penalty, and you can enter the hex you were killed in again, but for the half hour that a normal penalty would have been you can only enter the hexes for drafting into battles. That way you can't undermine a battle in a hex by running quick missions to change the defense while the other team is tied up in a battle. But you can still defend it and help push more PvP battles that way.

No. Too many 3v1 jumps. This is just silly, I don't think people should be forced to flush PP down the toilet because they got drafted in an un-winnable situation. I remember a few years ago Castrin had a server up with these rules and we (the players) ignored them.

Just make everything dirt cheap from the PP prespective.

Dirt cheap in the PP perspective is alright, but it only encourages more heavy metal fights. The problem with a forced fight is that to many of the way off balanced fights will have people leave the server as it would be no fun. A few of those kinds of fights are fun, I set a goal to at least crack a shield, last five or ten minutes.
But you get to many of those you well get players that will be like this.
"hmm, been smoked seven times now, here comes number eight. Charge the enemy, battle condition green, lets just get it over." Then it would be followed by, log off, find another server that might be fun, hmmm, no other server. Find new game. Not a good end result. Now if we have more players and servers these rules might be great. But who knows. The only way to truely know is to throw it up and see how it flies. Or maybe run a poll to see how many active players would want a no wimp server. I think alot of it will be on how the whole package fits togeather not just the disengagement rule.

I'm just not cool with rules forcing people to stay and die no matter what. Ships are going to be relatively cheap anyway (like they were on AOTK3) and the Kill points will be the same with the exception of running off a Capital ships in and even-numbered engagement will be worth something. I'm thinking half their kill-value.
This means if Duck and I do something stupid again (like our "Epic" 1v1 F-BB versus K-B11K battle) and hog all the heavy metal points for 90 minutes we will at least have accomplished something.

I like my cheddar. ;D

Same amount of cheese. Last AOTK worked well IMO :)

Either Same amount or More :D

Negative Cheese. I want it so vanilla that it turns your pubes white.

Oh, good grief. Still with the pink fighters and ships. And here I was hoping we had finally mothballed all those Queen Kroma ships.

It is mouth-balled NOT mothballed. Now report to my cabin immediately for your re-indoctrination into the ways of the Reptilian Diva, and wear the pink short-shorts.

Oh my, I suppose it's a bad time to introduce the idea of "Non-Binding Cheese"
I like lots of cheese. Non-Binding Cheese? Even better. ;D

I certainly will not. Besides, they bind. I mean.........what I really meant to say was that I refuse to wear those little pants you handed out several years ago. I, sir, am a Gorn warrior of the highest repute. I do not "dally" about with such items.
<now which drawer did I put my backup tequila bottle> You are going to single-handedly drive me to increase my drinking again.
Will the Gorn Confederation never live down that "Queen for a Day" idea? I will need to send out the Templars to "guide" some of our lost children again. :P Where's crusty 'ole S'cipio when you need him? ::)
