Got a weird problem. Was going to update my iTunes program but balked when I realized it was 35 MB and canceled the download...the problem is that now the 0 KB file is on my desktop (where Firefox put it) and I can't delete it. It gives me the message that it's being used by a program and advises me to close any program that might be using it. I figure Firefox and iTunes would be the only things that would be trying to make use of the file, but once I close them, I still can't delete, rename, move, the file. It's very annoying.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Reboot the PC and try again.

Tried that, and alas, it doesn't work.

Get up a comand prompt and navigate to your desktop.
Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and click on "explorer.exe" and press "End Task"
now, in the command prompt delete the file.
Back on the task manager click "File -> New Task" and type explorer.exe and press enter.
I found this was the only way of getting rid of stubborn files.

Thanks, Cue. That worked perfectly.
Appreciate the assistance from both of ya'.
