Yes!
That's right
Provided no one can find anymore crazy bugs that may affect my chance of winning, we go live
Friday, January.. whatver it is (20th maybe?) at 8PM Eastern.
Rules will possibly be up sometime before we go live, otherwise I'll just have to admit I'm making it up
as we go along.
Although really I'm not sure how you have an actual "starting time" for a civil war.. maybe if all of you simply signed on
and flew freighters (no PVP) for the first few days .. then at a random time I could say "it's starting" (preferably after I have a C7)
and there could be much fun as I kill your little ships..

Cool... good job guys. Yes Friday is the 20th... Ill be there with dizzies hot.
Maybe we could get a sticky thread with the official downloads?

When they are official ;D
One more shiplist, should be out tommorow
-
Excellent,
now only if the Lyran-Mirak thing gets fixed, and we find out how to get our C7s(not just Hexx in one) and we be good to go.
-
I figure this is going to be a no, but I'm asking for curiousity's sake, will KCW have a webmap and/or webyard?
-
ummm ok mb peeps missed it but the planets 2 and 6 and the cartels from the stock and the Defsats all need work.
-
Hexx in a c-7 vs 3 of us in freighters....what a waste of a c-7. ;D
-
I need the EXACT time of when the server will go live. (already know the date). ;D
-
Preferably AFTER BSG is over...
-
All of us outside the U.S. (Hexx included) who can't see the newest BSG will be warmed up for ya... 8)
-
umm...new season BSG started last week on space channel for Great White North peoples.
-
We know, we know, it started on the 13th. We can at least check out www.scifi.com to see what we're missing. The newest BSG didn't have to mean just the first episode of the 2nd half of season 2.
::)

Roger that, Dizzy. Hexx, this is an issue.
And those of you that don't get it, don't tell me you don't DL the torrents the next day.
Or, now, you can pay to download the frackin' thing from iTunes for $1.99, which sounds like a great deal to me if you are on the other side of the pond.
-
Press the record button on your VCRs, or I know, shut down the server during my work hours, this is an issue Hexx! ::) This is a matter of choice here folks. Watch BSG and don't play for an hour or tape it and play. Those who actually can't wait to see it later are unlikely to outnumber those who can't see it or don't care to see it. Not just canucks here with the big UK contingent this time around and enough Americans probably don't get sci-fi channel or don't care as well.
-
why not just drag the TV into the computer room, and um.. "fly casually"

Well not that I'd ever condone the illegality of DL by torrent, but my (admittedly limited) understanding of the reprehensible medium suggests that even if
some perfidious soul were to download the episode, it wouldn't be available until after the show has already aired. Itunes also wouldn't be available until the next day.
So if it's started at 8 , the guys who get BSG at a decent time will miss out on the server for a bit, while any of the evil torrent users will miss out on some time on Saturday.
-
Cool Hexx! The point being that if some people want to watch BSG as it hits the air, fine but don't hold back the rest of the community.
-
Just as long as you realize it's really not my call :P... and I think he watches it friday nights..
-
Then all your press clips about yourself must not be true or they would all yield to your demands without question.... :o

Nornally a good suggestion. SciFi is on digital, and the tv near the computer is analog, and moving the digital box is a no go because of filters and such.
Hexx, do what you want, but when BSG airs Friday I'll be at Action Stations, with Condition One set throughout the ship. Dizzy, you bring the chips I'll bring some expensive beer.

Frack yeah!
