I still don't see any carrier/fighter donation.

I still don't see any carrier/fighter donation.
There isn't any. No carriers, no PFs

Suspected as much, however there are still carriers in all the lists. If the AI draws them what will happen?

They will be R'd out.

We are a go with the map!!!
Hydrans draw enemies, lyrans are attackable.
Issue was Hexx had a Lyran shi in the Klink list, I removed this and stuff now works.
FUNNY LITTLE BUG: Witht he Hydran D7T, Photons fire Overladed when on normal and normal when overloaded ::)

Huh.
What do the energy costs do? That could make for some interesting tactics if the Hydran D7T could fire overloaded photons for the cost of normal ones.

I tested it with Volley info. If you set the Photon to overload, they cost 2 points to arm and do 8 points of damage.
Set to normal , they cost 4 to arm and do 16.
Fricking strange, huh?

That is weird... which interface/race slot is this happening in?

Hydran

Interesting, think I might try a few of the other empires in singleplayer to see if they are affected as well.
-
I tried out the D7T (photons) in all the interfaces and as DieHard observed overloads and standards are reversed in the Hydran interface, but also, in the Romulan interface, overloads and standards cost the same and do the same damage (standard) as far as I can tell. Photons appear to work properly in all the other interfaces.
So photons are a problem for the Romulan interface.
-
It's not an issue, don't worry about it.
-
i can confirm the photons are wonky for romulans...i was in a fed ship on GSA and was using rom interface and noticed the same thing
it looks like it never actually engages the secondary modes, because if you click on the hardpoint later, it's back to normal photons

surley if the roms cant use the photons the same way as the other races can its an issue?
-
Why not just dump the photon klink ships if they are problematic for the different race interfaces??

What he said. The D7T would be nice to have, but it's not essential. It might be fun to see what other players do with it.
I seem to remember some testing with the D7T versus other Klingon ships a couple of years ago by some Klingon players, and after several days of messing around with the thing, and we got to know the ship pretty well, we concluded the only way to really fight the ship effectively against disruptor races was to....um, but that is off the point, really. If we can't fix it, let's dump it.

Not.
