To those who might know or could-
Would it be possible, by use of scripting, create an ingame map area equal in size to the area (as close as possible) of the stock SFB hex map? I know the "small" map is much larger that the SFB one, but if you can spawn a bounded area with terrain like rocks, mines, what ever to "shrink" the available surface area to equal the parameters of the SFB map. IIRC someone asked this upteen years ago to the devs and I remember someone said it might be possible with the API they had not tried it, or something like that.

I think there was a "tiny map" for at least the open space terrain type. I'm not sure how close that is to SFB standards though.

Don't know exactly what you want it for, but if you need something right away there is a tournament map on GSA, which is even smaller than the small map.
Map size is created by the script. So if someone wanted to create a script with a map that was a certain size, they can. (You have to build the map with "building blocks" that are a certain size, and I forget what that size is, but it is pretty small.)
