I have a strange question. My wife wants a scene from a movie cut and put on a CD from the DVD so she can watch it on her computer. How in the world do you do that? Can it be done?

It's possible. You need a program that will convert the .vob files on a DVD into another format. I've got a program called DVD Ripper which can do that. It converts to uncompressed .avi or mpeg 1.
The hardest part is getting a section of that video. At work the answer is easy as I have a copy of Premiere Pro but I'm sure there's other programs that could do the same job.
After that you'd just need to burn the new CD using something like nero.

Since I live in Outer Mongolia and NOT the USA, I gave myself a crash course
in video editing yesterday and it can be done. Digi's way is the best but I took
the free software route so it took 5 programs to complete the task. There
is probably an easier way to do it but at least I figured it out. W00t! ;D
