Hey guys and gals, I just bought a new LCD 17" monitor that display 16.7 million colors for a miniscule 200 bucks and it displays great.

Dang this site sure does look cool. Hopefully I won't have to squint to read Shadow's red letter posts anymore.

Good for You Jerry. Just wait untill you can afford a second one. You will be Blown away. Anyway , I'm happy for you. I'm a Graphic Freak myself, and lay most of my DVD's on my PC. I'm sure you will really enjoy the new Purchase.

I've been following Dell LCD monitors the last few monthes.  They just came out with ther 24 inch widesceen, right now it running at just under $900.  There are a lot of coupons out there though and some have been able to get it for just under $600. Really though I'm waiting for their 20inch model with 16ms response time to come around $400 andd then I'm going to spring. LCD prices are coming down.

I find they look quite nice on LCD monitors... a little bright but good contrast on the LCD... (developed on the precision color display of a matrox video card and Nokia CRT).

My desk at home is overwhelmed by three CRTs... by the sounds of the prices its almost time for LCDs for me too!
