Title: Getting worse or better?

Either I am getting worse or the AI is getting better.   I feel like lunch.  Keep getting handed my a$$ on a platter by the AI in the last couple of missions.  But the good?  They are having a harder time preparing the meal!!   Yahooo!!!!   Time to go back to the fronts.  (Side note:  Why does the computer keep giving me specialty class ships?   I want a freaking battle tug!!)
