Title: Forum suggestion for consideration
Post by: Stormbringer on March 26, 2004, 11:12:50 pm
I think the url input field in the pop up box should not have the Http...etc pre typed. Most people just cut and paste the whole contents of the browser address bar into that box. This creates a URL that must then be edited as it has a duplicate "http..." bit in it. For a novice user this can cause problems and for a more experienced user it becomes frustrating to have to edit the url each time.

Could the admins get rid of the preformated text?

Doesn't hurt to ask. Likely it is a user selectable function in the UBB tool kit at the admin level. I see no reason for it to be hard coded.

Me neither. I'm extrapolating based on admin tools for other networking/ networked software.
