B-5 was brilliant, and Joe Straczynski wants to bring that magic to Trek, FREE of the B & B imbeciles!

We can only hope Paramount sees the value of actually letting a GOOD writer handle Trek.

This does sound interesting. B-5 was an awesome show, and I really miss it (and the spin-off, Crusade, which was zapped after 13 episodes).

The new series could be named Star Trek: Where Babylon Has Not Gone Before, .

Course, if Paramount doesn't bite, Straczynski could always go to the Sci-Fi Channel and create a new series: Babylstar Galactica.

In truth, Straczynski is just the guy to breathe new life and enthusiasm into Trek.

Now i am really hoping for this to work out. All of B-5s story lines had a way of sucking you in and ALLWAYS wanting more.
Hell i would give my eyeteeth just to have them start a B-5 spinoff for that matter

Paramount makes a LOT of money off Trek, I bet they would love a good series, as that means DVDs, games, toys, models, action figures, books, comics, all kinds of merchandise.

I doubt Enterprise is much of a cash cow, just doesn't have the impact of previous Trek shows.

Ah, but a GOOD Trek show could mean millions in sales.

Hard to pass up.

If Paramont does not allow MJS too write for Star Trek, then they are fools! I loved B5, its one of my favorite Sifi shows of all time. If this did occur and MJS is writing for Star Trek, the only concern is would other Trek Fans except it? I know I would.

One question though, would he write for this Enteprise show or go back too 23rd/24th century story line (alas, Regular Star Trek instead of B & B Enterprise creation)?

They came to him if you'll recall, so I believe it would be up to him to accept the offer. I would hope the new series would stay far FAR away from a static set (space station).
