Topic: To patch or not to patch? (Read 1873 times)

I'm planning on buying SFC3, but I don't know whether to try and download the beta patch beforehand, and install it as soon as I get the game, or to play the game unpatched to begin with. Basically I just need to to know what the patch actually does and how much difference it makes, is it definately a big improvement?
