I won't be doing the reverse of what I did previous with the EAW scripts (compiled for OP)..
.. but I will share the idea:

.. some could go ahead and recompile the OP missions for EAW.
(keep in mind I'm an SFC:OP supporter and would rather see more OP players)..

Can the SFC1 missions be compiled for OP or are they a completely different animal?

......but, you could do some creative re-writing, and port them to eaw or OP.... aftert all, a missions is a misssion is a mission.

(the thought of some of these missions being played with EAW or OP ships just makes me shiver!)

wish to god I had C++ installed so I could give it a go! Whadda thought!

Yes, but I've got a personal SFC:OP pet project or 2 already.

Here is a thought.

Would someone be able to manipulate the scripts and cheat with the new scripts in GSA? (I know Dyna does mission CRC checking, does GSA?)

Thanks.

Thank you Mr. Ferrell!

This certainly is one step closer in making my dream of being able to play SFC1 missions in OP.

Hopefully, somebody will not only get the campaign missions ported but also get old classics like "Repair Roundevous" or maybe even awesome custom missions like "The Quantum Factor" into SFC:OP. That would be simply awesome!

Firesoul, keep up the good work. Thank you for your continued efforts. RE: SFB Tholians and Andromedans, can't you make a few custom missions that trigger the "ship breakdown" feature if a non-Tholian ship is hit by say [insert closest weapon type] and change the shield graphic to last longer and to resemble a web? Similiarly, the Andromedan TRBs are in SFC:OP, how hard would it be to script a mission where an Andromdedan ship [either player of AI] can "displace" the ship. I suppose if you can "displace" an Andromedan ship that would be a step closer to creating an in game warp type effect for non-Andromedans.

Qa Pla!

Not easily. It's not something I would want to do personally..

.. besides.. I got a few plans for a certain common battlefest script that needs a little bit of beefing up. Nothing fancy, it just needs a couple of things.

.. unless someone else wants to do it?

Sorry for ignorance, but as I recently joined this forum, i am unshure how to use this scripst, and as there isn't any readme whit scripts, i would like to ask someone to write me a short "How to use" text, or direct me to some web page.

TIA!

These are for EAW/OP, not the original SFC, but might help give you a start

http://www3.telus.net/NuclearWessels/sfc/api.html

They're badly in need of an update (seems I've been saying that for about a year now) but lots of the core material is still ok.

Mr. Ferrell, any chance you know of anybody who has successfully converted or made the SFC1 missions for SFC: EAW or OP?

If so, who do we bug to make these missions available for OP?

Thanks.
