If you want some of the best looking ( good ploy count and great textures) ships check out Unimatrix-one.co.uk
Especially good site for those like myself that became frustrated trying to find non- Fed ships. Borg and Klingon were my hardest to find anywhere else, esp. Klingon ships that had TNG looks to them. There are even bases for various races here.
