here you go...want your own ship in this game?
Give me a picture of the model to be used on the card
give me its weapon loadout (phasers/disruptors only; heavy weapons are seperate cards)
give me some abilities it has
give me its dedication plaque or a neato quote to put with it
This is preferably from LOST ERA, TNG, and POST-TNG

Please no godships.

No One Interested?
oh well, im still going with it.

Here will be the playable races. - They are identified by the color of the LCARS tab in the upper right corner (the color of the ST Symbol determines how many of this card you can have in a deck at most: Gold=1, Silver=3, Copper=6, Black=10, none=Unlimited)
Federation - Blue
Klingon - Red
Romulan - Green
Reman - Pink
Dominion - Purple
Cardassian - Orange
Species 8472 - Yellow
Borg - Grey

Not too bad.  You have put alot of work into this.

You can't do any worse than Decipher ST: CCG... There was a running joke about how many cards would it take for Decipher to put the Gettysburg address in a CCG? Something like one per syllable I think was the answer.

If I may, here's something I have been toying with for several months:

since Decipher has done TNG and SFB has a card game for TOS/SFB, this concept would appeal to me if it were TMP; say pit FASA Trek VS Klingon Academy/SFC series vs Custom [Ships of The Starfleet/Sci-Fi Art, etc.]

Imagine a FASA Trek Klingon D-10 squaring off a KA Lexington or a ST: New Worlds Melak against a Churchill...

TMP era seems to ME to be more balanced with fewer uberships you can't scratch the paint off, LOL.

That would appeal to me.

Qapla!

Alright, here is a question for all of you.
Thus far I have three resources that you must use in order to bring things into your hand. (they are on the upper left column in the LCARS display)
Silver - Metal
Gold - Latinum
Purple - Prestige

Should i add another, i was thinking "Research", (it would be teal)....this would be a high cost for things like special abilities and what not.

So should it be added, yes or no.

Some thoughts on Resources:

Dilithium: In the 22nd/23rd Century anyway, the Galactic powers go to war over dilithium crystals; Romulans continue to research quantum singularity drives however. Sources: Trade, black market, mining sites (Asteroids/habitable/unihabitable worlds).

Starbases/Shipyards: Only certain sized worlds with a specific infrastructure can produce BBs for instance

Class M planets: Ideally the most suited worlds for colonization/conquest. Shared worlds like Serman's Planet might allow opponant races to field cards too...

Economy: There's alot to be said for whoever has the better economy can produce better items/ships/weapons, etc.

IN the TNG setting, scarcity of resources doesn't seem to be as huge an issue as it was in the earlier eras IMHO.

I avoided using Dilithium as a resource because it doesnt apply to all races, but Latinum does, its a common currency.

Latinum is a common currency? I didn't think that the Ferengi have been around THAT long in TNG times to change the Federation, Romulan, and Klingon currencies.

My passion is in TMP as were my recommendations

I did my M. Ed. Master's Thesis on Educational Game design/the history of Simulation games and I created academic "tools" *COUGH* [I really dislike Ivory Tower academicians...] to evaluate just about any Genre of simulation game from CCG to PC/console games, LOL.

Best wishes on your game.

I wasn't implying that I was a smart @ss.

The games that I have found to be most enjoyable [and fun to teach other folks how to play] mostly take less than an hour to play but have a high replay value because of a strategic componant to them.

I like to keep things simple; it worked for me in the field of education and in the Army Reserves. TNG in my humble opinion can be really difficult to wrap my brain around as we are talking orders of magnitude in improvements over TOS/TMP ships/weapons/defensive tech plus through in more TNG writer technobabble and I swear my head will explode LOL.

I would recommend maybe consider having it stand out by setting it in late TNG or post TNG to make it stand out better, IMHO.

You seam to be on to something there and I  really do wish you success,

So Wait....are you recommending TMP or TNG/Post TNG.

Honestly i wanted to make something that stretched all the way From Late TMP to Post TNG....i mean come on, lets face it, there are still gonna be three or four Connies serving in TNG times, even if they are academy ships.
