Bug for SFC OP Please help

Everytime, I capture an enemy vessel, and some other ship destroys it the game ends, as if I was destroyed, but my orignal ship is healthy, it makes no sense, it never did this before, any ideas guys

Patch is 2525, I got the lastest one, but it messed up my PhG2, it was horrible so I redid the 2525, and yes single player skirmishes not even the campaign, thanks an adnvance for any help you can provide

How did you "redo" 2525?

Sorry but no gaurntee on 2525, I suggest you patch to the current level and see if it continues.

And the G2 issue is being looked at. No promisses there either.

I just reinstalled the key components of the game, sprites, and etc... stuff and patched it over with the 2525, thats all, but I tried the 2538, and the Phaser G2, fires on one shot, that ruins my entire mod, but hey, I guess I can live without capturing other ships, but it sure sucks

I have not seen this before and all I can guess at is the mod you are using is in some way responsible. To be sure I would uninstall OP, delete the OP directories, reinstall OP, apply the 2525 patch, add any extra mission packs and then apply your mod.

At each stage test your game to see at what step you introduce the mission ending bug.

Have you considered using Plas E instead?

Hey Adam,
   I'd try a complete uninstall/reinstall of the game, patch, and your mod. My guess is that it's something incompatible from 2525 to 2538 that's left over. The other most likely culprit is the mod. You should be able to get away with backing up the models directory so you don't have to go thru reinstalling the custom models one at a time, if you don't have the mod backed up in it's entirety.
   Are any of your modded .txt files from a different patched version of the game? That might cause an incompatibility issue as well.

I'll haven't seen that happen..but you're right the PHG2 problem is really annoying. Can't understand how a weapon misfire could be missed in a patch for a battle simulator. Now that have some software for re-scaling and hardpoints I plan to go back to 2525 too so i can have G2's back. I will also do a re-spec on  a lot of ships ,replace most of the cartels with other races and make practically everything playable in skirmish mode (bases,freighters, monsters,etc.) I wish the terrain was selectable like SFC1. As time permits I'll have to try to re-create your bug when i get a chance to re-install and patch to 2525.
