As anyone who has seen one of my posts since *January* may or may not know... I had a real problem with the new look. One of the things I really *really* disliked was the stupid white borders around everything. It was disorienting, it was annoying, it breaks the flow of the words and ideas for me here. Well, I found a capability in Opera (my web browser) to make use of user style sheets a while back, and last night found a freeware style shet editor with preview ability. So I spent almost three hours mucking about with the Taldren style sheet until I *finally* got rid of the borders. The fact that I had to do that on my own is more than a little lame, but after five months, I figured that Taldren wasn't going to bother fixing or addressing the issue that some of us here didn't like the new look, and preferred the old one (which was simply taken away with the old UBBS system). But at any rate, now that I've finally fixed it, maybe I can finally get rid of the disruption that I get reading messages here. And I'm putting up the modified style sheet so that people who may also have liked the "Taldren Classic" look can download it and use it. I'll only state that I have it working in Opera 6 and Opera 7... haven't tried it with IE yet (because I don't use browsers that open an onramp to the Internet to my insides of my computer's OS). But if others want to try looking at Taldren (and other websites, which can get entertaining!) in the classic look again, here's the link:

It may not be a whole lot different to some, but it's a whole world of difference to me. Kind of a Feng Shui thing I think.
