There's a bunch of us looking for an update on your Romulan Condor (including myself).

Pretty please?

That Condor is turning out to be a real beauty. I just love the underside bird detailing myself.

With sugar on top?

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I know guys, I'm real crap at the mo, but real life has got a strangle hold on me at the mo  Currently working on my car (insert multiple expletives here), having to be dedicated to work as we're 're-negotiating' contracts (were talking potential £6k pay increase here ) and  other stuff, it all starts to suck really!

Just cos you asked so nicely

Just the rear to do and its done. The SkyHawk's ready to go and also started on a Klink Sparrowhawk:

So, been keeping my hand in, just neglecting you all

I'm off from now till next Tuesday (shift pattern and holidays) but I'm away proper from Friday to Monday.

I'll try to keep you updated, sorry it's taking so long, does my nut in too!

They don't, at least not in SFB or in canon Trek; and nobody mention the B'rel as that's a Klink ship in canon.

(R3.63) Klingon Sparrowhawk Light Cruiser (RKL)
During confused fighting in Y174, three Romulan Sparrowhawk-A's were cut off from Romulan territory and sought refuge at a klingon base. The Romulan government, perhaps reluctantly, traded the ships for new D5s.

The RKL has no cloaking device (apparently at Romulan insistence) and cannot purchase a NSM; the plasma torpedoes were replaced with disruptors. Other changes can be seen on the SSD. The design was generally considered to be a failure, and it is assumed that the Klingons were unable to support the ships in continued operation in the original design or the would have left the ships as they recieved them.

The RKL can fire one drone per turn from each rack. The drone racks are not mounted in the shuttle bay.

Based on a suggestion by John P Bollman.

UIM: Available for purchase under (S3.2) Y165 and after.

SSD and counter are in module R3.

This is the basis for the romulan KDR and KDP; the 3 D5's the roms got were converted to the KDR design. So Thu11 is working on the RKL, and hopefully he'll continue with the KDR (though perhaps I should just ask Atrahasis to retexture the excellent D5 he's done). While your at it, speaking of conversions, the stock rom KC9R begs to be replaced.

Very well, they are in SFB, as I have none of the manuals I was not aware of this and was working from my knowledge of SFC. Now that you mention it the SFC manual said that was how the Roms got those D5s. Oh and Atra is in absentis permanently it seems, though he did release a rommie KDR on the same day as his D5 and D5W. It uses the Stormbird textures mainly.

Commander's War Journal Stardate: 030528.03

Captain Thruum Vor Rhadjekk recording.

I have withdrawn from an engagement against an Andromedan patrol barely outside the Klingon-Romulan border system of Qul' Thaz.   What should have been an easy match against an Imposer Class cruiser and two Cobra class escorts has proven calamitous.  The invaders TRBs and displacement devices caught us ill prepared. What is worse was the fact that depite the power of the ships under my command,  we only managed to cripple one Cobra ship in the skirmish.  If only my ships had power absorption panels like the Andromedans;  the entire Alpha Quadrant would be ruled by the Klingon Empire!

Task Force Kraag Dorr lost the IKV Sul'Che, a Riskadh class heavy cruiser, and a the IKV Lv' Khe,  a K'Teremny class light cruiser, against the invaders. The IKV Kraag Dorr, my beloved Suvwl' Qeh, has been heavily damaged and the remaining ships in my task force are engaged in a delaying action in the asteroid field surrounding the gas giant  Qul' Thaz 4. I suspect that deep inside the asteroid field,  it will be extremely difficult or even impossible  for the Andromedans to use their ship displacement devices to chase us down like wild targs! Where tactically sound, I have mined the most likely avenues of approach to our current position in the hopes that it will slow the invaders down. Fortunately, all of the remaining ships in my task force have operating cloaking devices so we will be able to buy some time to make field repairs so long as the invaders choose not to blast the entire asteroid field to space dust. The last sub-space communique from the High Command informed me that the Romulans are enroute to assist us. That was more than two hours ago, before we lost our most powerful communications array after hitting some debris in the asteroid field.

I fear our Romulan allies will join the fight too late.  Even with a Condor class warbird, two full squadrons of Starhawk PFTs and a wing of Skyhawk destroyers, they may arrive too late to assist us.  Their are rumors among my crew that the Romulans have betrayed us and that the Romulan commander will be granted an assignement on a new Melak warbird if his mission to drive out the invaders is successful. If this rumor is true, our survival is immaterial to that mission.  I have my doubts that the coalition between the Klingon and Romulan peoples would simply disintegrate overnight, especially when faced with an enemy even greater than the Federation.

We have no choice but to wait and see if the wings of the mighty Condor have come to save us or to pick at our bones in the cold depths of space....

Commander's War Journal Stardate: 030529.18

Captain Thruum Vor Rhadjekk recording.

It has been well over 24 hours since our last communique with the High Command and still no sign of the promised Romulan Condor and her escorts. If they are here, why haven't the Romulans contacted us? The good news is that my chief engineer reports that a significant portion of our damaged subsystems, structural integrity fields  and warp engine damage will be repaired sufficiently to make us battle-worthy enough  to fight our way out of this system within 16 standard hours. My tactical officer's report is not so heartening. His analysis of our last skirmish reveals that the Andromedans had set a trap for us but that that would require knowledge of our presence near the Qul' Thaz system....

Despite the rumors that are thriving throughout the crews of the remaining ships in task force Kraag Dorr's teeth, I refuse to believe that our coalition allies, the Romulans specifically, would sell us out to the extra-galactic invaders.

Its been strangely quiet since we entered the asteroid belt near Qul' Thaz 4. Too quiet.  I expected to be fighting my way into Sto-Vo-Cor by now.

What are the Andromedans up to and where are the Romulans? Most importantly, what if anything, does the mighty Federation have to say about this incident? Perhaps they were the ones to sell us out in the first place. We shall see as long as we don't find our place in the afterlife before the Romulans arrive.

Starfleet Command formally denies all knowledge of the means by which the Andromedans were able to uncover the position of task force Kraag Dorr's teeth, and have ordered Captain Alfano (OOC: that's me that is!) and the USS Sicilia and her escorts, the Venezia-Giulia, and the Cyrenaica to assist the Klingons, we will intercept your position in roughly 18 standard hours.

Commander's War Journal Stardate: 03062.20

Captain Thruum Vor Rhadjekk recording.

Operating under cloak and taking the most covered and concealed course we could chart, we finally crawled our way out of the Qal' Thaz system and are headed to Klingon Space. We are heading to Goloth base on the Klingon-Tholian border. The Tholian Border Harassment Squadron will stand watch over us until replacement ships, crews and sufficient repairs are made to the remnants of Task force Kraag Dorr's Teeth. My chief engineer estimates we will be in drydock at least one standard week. My crew is wary and eager to have some shore leave before our next encounter. I can't say I blame them, they fought well against the Andromedan Targs!

My tactical officer assures me that the tactical data we have gained on the Andromedan invaders will prove valuable to the High Command, our Romulan allies and even to Starfleet Command.

Although I am disheartend that the Romulans did not assist us in the Qal Thaz system, I can only hope that  the rumors of Romulan deception are not true. I am still clinging to the belief that either the Andromedans were content to simply drive us away from some objective they were protecting or that they were drawn away from us by the Romulan force led by the Condor battleship. Time will tell. I shall certainly learn more about this situation by the time we reach Goloth base.
