Nathan,
I'm glad you screwed your courage to the yardarm and contacted me. Thank you very much for the enthusiastic support of my obessive hobby.
I am aware of the gaming world and of SFC, as many folks have come to me asking permission to use my designs in their gaming. Generally I am fine with that...I have a few criteria for usage however, some of which you already mentioned. If this is to be used in gaming, I need you to credit and copyright the design to me and reference the site appropriately. If not, please do not use it for profitt by selling it or bundling it with a commercial product.. Please do not alter the design of the ship or change the name or class of the ship, as I don't want a zillion copies of this design with a bunch of different names. Reference its constructiionn origins as Feyman Shipyards. Please don't change any backstory that I've developed on the site for a particular class or ship. (and if it doesn't have one, feel free to create one and run it past me.) And be aware that this agreement only gives you the rights to build a cgi model for a not for profit purpose. Hope that's clear and not too strict. I just have so many folks who want to build my ships for gaming and then change the whole story and class and ahhh what a headache. Anyway, those are the groundrules.
As far as the models themselves go, they are all physical models created out of current marker kits and sheet styrene. They are all hand painted and decaled. The images you see on the site are photoshop composites using 2D digital tools. So I'm not able to provide any wireframes or templates for you. If you agree to the conditions stated above, feel free to build a model as you like. Please limit the number of designs you use to 2 or 3. Again, I want to keep the market from getting saturated.
If you decide to build something, I'd love to see it. Thanks again for the interest.
Peace,
Michael

Well, just like you said... I know he has 3D models, but he stated politely and subtley that he won't release them... sure wish I could operate that darned 3DMax worth a twit... now's as good a time as any to try I guess.
