It might be because you are looking at people's posts before they became a higher rank.

Hmmmmm, I donīt think so. The number of posts a user have are updated in every thread.
And now i have like 80 posts and I am still "extra in read shirt" and GRAV is Ensign with 73.

I donīt really care about ranks, it is simply not very important, but maybe someone could clarify this.

Taldren has done this already for you. Click on the FAQ link at the top of the forum page and look for a section called "What are these titles about?"

Hope that helps.

CIV out.

EDIT: As for the problem of some still being Red Shirts and others being Ensigns, I believe it depends on the date you first reged onto these boards. I came along shortly after they made the switch to UBB.threads 6.2.3 from the older one. I progress the ranks as stated in the FAQ. This was around the end of January this year if I remember correctly. There must be some sort of bug involved with people's accounts being ported from old boards to the new one. That's just my theory.

That's odd -according to that I should be a lieutenant JG then but I'm still an extra in red shirt.

Join the club, and UBB collects the rank from current information, so even if you go back to your first post, it will display your current rank.

But after over 200 posts, still an Extra in a Red Shirt. No big deal.

According to Starfleet regulations you can, that is, if you are a Starfleet officer. But since you're a Romulan, this does not apply to you Tremok, sorry.
