A Public Salute to Bearslayer And Dogmatix

Well, what can I say.

My copy of SFC:OP just arrived in the mail today. I fired off an email to Bear thanking him for the effort it took to get the copy to me, and after I sent it, it hit me. Bear and Dogmatix have made such a huge contribution here that they should get some kind of award for it. Hell, they deserve copies of SFC3 signed by the entire Taldren dev team.

Not many people would undertake this kind of effort just to get more people playing a game that they love. The fact that Bear and Dogmatix are willing to buy and send out copies of OP to people they don't even know is a testament to the character of both of them.

I believe this community should ask Taldren to honour the contributions of these fine individuals. Whether by a mention on their site, and the forums, or by a more material award, as with the Techical Awards, they deserve something for their contributions to this community.

Start up a thread like this for Hooch in the Dyna 3 boards.

These guys deserve all the thanks we can possibly give them.

Thank you, Shadow Viper, but just the thanks for the deed is enough.

Go play OP...  I got business to attend to on GSA then if SG3 hasn't started by then, I will be on....

Well, I'd also like to add to that list KBF-Motown, who several months ago sent me a brand new original copy of Microsoft Visual Studio v6.0, complete with an unused registration key. Microsoft Visual C++ is, of course required, to write mission scripts, and without it, I wouldn't have been able to write any. v6.0 is now hard to hard to fin as well, as its been replaced by v7.0 which contains the .net framework and isn't compatible with the Taldren Scripting API. Regardless, it would have been prohibitively expensive to buy on a student budget.
