So where are we up to?
« on: May 13, 2003, 01:17:52 pm »
I've been away from this place for a while as the game was unplayable on multiplayer, I have 56k modem but I don't see what's so complicated about the game that it won't work properly, it just refused to let me play if there were any other human players.

Strikes me as odd since all that needs to be logged really is position, direction, speed and weaponds fire or whatever, how can it work so badly?

I was wondering what has happened in terms of patches and stuff. There's a beta or something but if activision won't support it and all that crap then I'm not bothering with it, it'll probably just cause me more grief.

Well, I hope it's better than it looks, this game is generally pretty good, if you iron out the flaws then it would be a great game.

Be specific. I assume by "game" and "activision" you meant SFC3.

What are you talking about? Specific? Did I read the signs wrong? I was under the impression that this is the forum for sfc3

This is the GENERAL forum for ALL Taldren's games.  The beta is quite good.  Try it if you like, or don't...

That's what the question was all about. Where is sfc3 at in general? What is there in terms of patches and what is there on the horizon in terms of official patches, how well supported by the community and whoever is the beta?

Well in my opinion, the beta Patch has improved my online gaming of SFC3 considerably.  I still can only play in games of 4 players or less, but it seems more stable.  Also, the Beta does improve the Romulans some (and they needed it) and makes the game a little more balanced overall.
