That's weird, seems to work fine for me.

Edit-Ah, I see the problem now, I was only going to the front page. It would seem that Nightsoft, Eras of War's parent site, it down at the moment. I would just try a little later.

The site seems to be in a yo-yo state right now...

I was sort of hoping to DL them all and then pick and choose... Then I found that the big dl of high res models doesn't work ...

Now it looks like the individual models links are being finiky also.... dl'd a few but I dl's some links are coming up with File not found errors....

I've always just used stock Taldren models for Fred garbage scows....

...but I guess after a few years, I'm getting tired of blowing up the same old ugly crap over and over.  I think it's time for me to defile some "pretty" Fred ships.

I like these models, Diz.  I hope I can get my hands on them at some point.

I prefer TMP-style models to TOS and TNG, fo course.

Ya, me too dog, but I like this one in particular cuz it has a shuttle bay fore and aft. And that CVS has a nifty little photon torpedo compartment cleverly hidden underneath the secondary hull... hehe. Course... Im flying Tholian... whatta I care?

Problem is, with SFAS board game and ship models like the chandley class FF from hades, the feds had a FA 8 torpedo boat, not just LS bank, which really sucks... Do you think ANY military would build a CA whose main guns point only to the left?

Good point Jim you also wouldent  think a drone race would build a CVA with no drone racks.

Can I assume you mean FASA?

If so, you are talking about the ANDOR class cruiser.... but it had smaller Photons then normal cruisers did.

In FASA there were 7 types of Photon Torpedoes.  The standard one the Enterprise carried was a 20 pt photon.

The ones the Andor class carried were 8 point photons.  Its arcs were 4 FA, 1 RS, 1 LS, 2 RA.

On the bad side... it only had 2 phasers which in relations to SFC/SFB I would consider Ph3's with a FA arc.

If we could find a way to put fighter photons on that thing... it would make an interesting frigate.

And yeah, the Chandley is one bad @ssed cruiser.  But it is not a SFB/SFC frigate....

It is really a heavy cruiser sized commando ship from hell.

FASA called it a frigate, but their idea of a frigate is our idea of a commando ship.

Using loose SFB/C to FASA conversion.... a HC (like a Constitution class) had a 4/1 power to movement, I assume this to relate to a 1:1 ratio in SFB/C.... the Chandley had 3:1 so I think it would fall into the 0.67:1 ratio for SFB. (though technically it would be 0.75 but I don't know if that is used in SFB/C)

It has great shields (on par with TMP Enterprise's shields), 4 photons (3 FA, 1 RA),  6 phasers (equivilant to Ph1's 2 FA, 2 RS, 2 LS) , and 8 'Combat' transporters...   (IIRC, SFB/C transporters transport a group of 6 Marines, is that correct?) and an additional 8 'standard' 6 person transporters.

SFB equivilant would be, what?  35 transporters using the SFB/C 6 man marine teams....   it carries 250 marines or in SFB terms, 82 Marine teams.... good luck fighting that off.... but wouldn't you love to have if for convoy raids?

Overall, this ship would be a nightmare to fight in close b/c once a shield was dropped, unless you had tons of marines to back you up.... you are done.

The drawbacks are no drone/figher defense since they were not used by FASA.... so this would be a good Rom/Gorn/Lyran front ship, but really suffer against the drone & figher using races...

Here are the stats on these two FASA ships....
 USS Chandley

 USS Andor

Thats weird Bearslayer...

I saw different specs on the Andor somewhere... It had 6 Phasers and 8x torps, but only 37 points of power and a move ration of .67...

Wondfer where that coulda been.

The Andor ship and model is in this DL with the specs I mentioned... I wonder now if those should be changed?

Yeah, someone made a FASA shiplist for SFCII... but it is kind of out there... as with all translations, somethings are good, some are bad, and some are just plain ugly.... (ie TOO good for your enemies, but not for you!! Such as the Chandley class)

As for the hull size, you need to check the class size...  Both the Enterprise class and Chandley Class are Class XI (ie tonnage range of 140K to 180K tons IIRC)

I have a excel file with them on it, I will send it to you if you wish. PM me, email or what not....

Also, if you want the orignal stats go here...
