Interplay sent a [censored] load of OP copies out with SFC-III cd keys (big major oops dude!)

Contact Interplay tech support to get a good CD key, give 'em the current key on the box when ya do it..

I think you got it mixed up..
.
.. it was SFC2:EAW that were shipped with SFC2:OP keys.
SFC3 has nothing to do with interplay anyways.

Just to clarify, an OP key is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx. if you have the 4x4 alpha numerics then you should have an OP key.

Another thing is the XP problem some people get when the keyboard is not active in the window you have to type in the key, and a few alt-Tabs should fix that. Other than these two I don't recollect any other problems (unless you didn't type in the hyphens).

For me, I had to run the StarfleetOP.exe instead of the SFCOP.exe to get the keyboard active for OP on XP.

I just picked up OP myself finally ($10 at the Interplay *including* shipping, can't beat that) and had the same problem... until I finally realized that I was misreading a lower-case "f" as a "1" due to a really poor typography choice on the publisher's part. Take a reeeeally close look at the number and see if you're seeing what you think you're seeing.
