Thursday night, while I was at work, I received a phone call from my mother that my brother's heart had stopped and that he was taken to the nearby trauma hospital from his current hospital.

He didn't make it.

I'm not sure what else to say, except I'll repeat what my dad said to me that night: He's no longer suffering..

For those that don't know, my brother (younger) has been in the hospital since last July. He was in a major car accident in which he sustained a massive head injury, numerous broken bones, etc. etc..

He's a great kid, and I'll miss him greatly...

Damn, Kor...I'm very sorry to hear this in that it's always tough to lose a loved one, especially due to something so sudden and senseless as what happened to him originally. That his suffering has eneded is a good thing, I think...you're dad is probably right on there. I've lost several family members to lingering bouts with cancer and in each case, we were all happy their suffering was finally at an end.

I'm always here for ya should there be anything I can do for you, man.

Man...

I remember when the accident first happened and you posted about it. I thought he was doing as well as could be expected. It is indeed a cruel twist of fate when life makes you think it just might be ok after all and then snatches it away again.

I don't know what I can offer in terms of understanding or support but I do know that I can offer condolences and to let you know that we are thinking about you.
