Hey folks,

I've been recruited to work for a Star Wars fan film production that takes place 1000 years before Palpatine and his empire. It looks like fun so far, but the amount of modelling that we're going to have to do is NUTS...

Anyway, here's the first design/model I'm working on for the project. It's pretty early on and needs tons more detail, but you can see the final shape. It's supposed to be an Old Republic cruiser... you can see the influence of the Republic cruiser in Episode 1 and the Corellian Corvette in Episode 4, but it's more bulky and battleship-like.

When I'm done, I'm considering making a low-poly version for gaming purposes.

Wow Cleeve! I'm working on a Star Trek fan film! I'm doing the opening title for a TOS episode that some people are making. I really like the ship!

Looks great so far-does this tie in to Knights of The Old Republic? I always liked Star Wars too... funny how different of a mythos Star Trek is from Star Wars.

WOW! That is a nice model and ship. This is a great idea to do Star Wars 1000 years in the past, just hope it stays more consistant that Enterprise.

Question though, is this just a Fan Base interpretation of what Star Wars is like 1000 years in the past or actually something Lucas wants to do?

Not Lucas', it's my design of what I think it would look like... based on the designs of the movies, with a nod to fan fiction as well.

It kind of still looks like it can easily fit in the Trek universe, from pre-TOS all the way to early TMP. Oh, uh, this is a compliment!
