I think then, you can trully appreciate this...

..once, in a forum thread where we were all being a little.. crazy, silly even (oh perish the thought, that never happens here!), I wrote something foolish.  Not knowing that my girlfriend, a forgiving saint who more than tolerates my game-playing, was watching.  Afterwards, it became a little in-joke that we would toss at each other, in a good natured ribbing way...

Oh, how cruel Fate chooses to play itself out.  I soooo understand your experience.

Not too long ago, I was happily tossing photons on the LB3 server, when I hear my apartment door open, and 'Hi hon, what are you up too?'... I was in Fed must-micro-adjust-for-those-precious-few-points-of-power mode, and didn't even take my eyes off the screen when I said, very loudly and with attitude...

"HOW DARE YOU INTERRUPT ME WHILE I AM EXECUTING MY EVIL PLAN TO TAKE OVER THE UNIVERSE, WOMAN?!?'

Translation:  Playing Star Trek honey, I missed you today.

Hmm... dead silence.  I turn, thinking maybe she needs help with something...

... to see the jaws dropping on her parents, who are standing right behind her.

"...umm, it's a private joke, sorry... really, it is..."

Translation: OMG I'm dead

Finally, her father speaks up, obviously not impressed with my tone of voice, "We came by to invite you two to our cottage for the weekend.  So, did you have any plans?"

Translation:  I don't care what you thought you were doing, you're coming to visit.

'Nuff said... I feel your pain.

Now J'inn you are not the worse pilot in this fun filled game. I just might have taken that monkey off your back.
During LB3 I crashed into at least 4 rocks, and 1 planet.(there is film)
The Rom and Klingon players were using my ship as there personal VC machine.
But I am learning.

Last night tho on GSA you showed me that you are a pretty good Captain. I mean after getting sandwiched between you and Kroma< That just don't sound right> You both left me there with 1 ph-1 and 8 power.
So take heart, you are by far not the worst Pilot out there.

As for your Shopping problems? I can't help you there. (spent the better part of today with my Girlfiend at the <shudder>Mall)

Oh and by the way. I always thought it was spelled Dounut.

Hey, J'inn... sorry about the bad day man, I didn't see any of that on my screen, you must've been on RW, but my end was REEEEEEALLLY laggy so it wouldn't surprise me if chat just didn't go through.  If I'd've known Kroma was already picking on you I've just concentrated on that stupid NVS that wouldn't close with anyone.

OH YEAH?!!!!

Well, I can attest to the fact that gang-banging can, and usually, be caused by the simple reason that they think, and know, that you are an easy target. A quick kill. An "oh, let's just get this one out of the way so he/she won't bother us" kind of thing.

And the correct spelling is doughnut.

Well that is another way to look at it Kim. Either way, it's why I prefer team games to FFAs. At least in those you should have someone else looking out for you.

LOL, Jinn.  Maybe, your GF would like to go shopping with my wife in Paris?  She leaves tomorrow to visit family. I've heard there's a perfume sale going on. L'eau de Toilete or something like that.

Now, starting this weekend,  there shall be war in the Alpha Quadrant from the ISC like you've never seen before, hehe.

J'inn when your single minded pursuit of a little Kroma tail (not that I can blame you, as I'm hard to resist) leads you to fly between a blackhole and 5 other pilots in a FFA you get what you deserve, which in this case was a gangbanging.

Odd... with most things in life, people generally adjust to things so that in time, what was once scary becomes something you can be somewhat comfortable with.

Except for this...

...every time I see Kroma's sig, with the reptile headed ... thing ... in a tutu, some part of my soul whimpers in terror.

Cease and desist from all  DONUT references immediately, lest I invoke the holy name of Pharoah.

Woe unto thee, blasphemers of Krispy deliciousness. Harken unto the truth, misspellers of all that is good and right in the Universe.

For it is written that the wicked shall pass through the Hole, and forever be cast out of Paradise, yet Kreme springs eternal for the followers of Krispitude.

Heed my words, hethans. The day of Purchase is coming. Soon, our savior will be returning from the Krispy Kreme and he shall deliver unto us belly-filling forgiveness.

Dopler, donuts travel well and are easy to eat in the car. Besides that, I can't really get into the reasons for the Cop - Donut connection. The repurcussions , were I to reveal the full conspiratorial reality, would be world-wide, and devastating to our sense of self and place in the Universe......

LOL J'inn ... and yes I did remember Rex's name.

But if your wondering folks, "Rex's" words were more along the line of "XXXXXX here ... don't you guys have anything better to do?"  To which our response was not delayed as J'inn might lead you to believe (since we were all typing away ... slowly since it is a difficult task while holding a donut in each hand). And responded in a near simultaneous response of  "No."

I'm not sure which is more freightening.

Is it

1)    They have donuts in each hand and thus their systems hold more cholesterol than a Crisco factory

OR

Is it

2)   If they have a donut in each hand,  just what the hell are they typing with???  I mean really, I knew donuts make the KOTH guys happy, but sheesh!!

On second thought, No. 2 is more scary.
