CAN I GET SOME DECENT NET CODE PLZ

I'm gonna try my best to minimize the negativity here, but tell me one other game or series of games aside from SFC set, that has given their patrons more headaches trying to link up for multiplayer? For example, here's my situation. I'm on a new p4/2.4ghz with 1 gb ram and radeon 9700 and sb audigy2. All drivers current as of last weekend. Every other game I have... Dark Age of Camelot, BF1942, Freelancer, UnrealT, etc. will play from behind my macafee firewall after I tell the firewall to allow it to talk any way it wants... Not SFC. I drop the firewall filter ( this is all on the Wiz D3 server btw) and finally connected without timing out to my first multiplayer fleet combat (coop). Cool.. we win, we move on, we get into the next battle... and I'm back to timing out again. Come on, how hard is it? Can't a brother play two games in a row without having to reboot and reinstall sfc everytime? Okay maybe thats exaggerating, but I seriously can't get into one multiplayer battle much less two in a row. Every other game manufacturer out there worth their salt puts out stuff that most people can use without a hitch... How many readers will testify that that has been true throughout the SFC series?

Final word.. godammit I feel like I have been burned for the third time... I loved SFC 1,2,&3 when I first got em and played single player. The moment multiplay on the internet started up, it went to hell for me. I'm just an average captain, but I would just like to leave all my fighting to do against the enemy and not making the software work. The internet code used seems 5 years old at least, how about an update?
