Totally sweet model Kreeargh!
As for the 88, it was not quite the killer that it's reputation suggests. The 88mm L-56 gun on the Tiger I was fantastic in it's day, but soon after it was left behind by the 75mm L-71 that the Panther mounted, and then eclipsed again by the 88mm L-71 on the King Tiger (aka: Tiger II). Of course these days it's like a spitwad shooter compared to the M-256 120mm smoothbore cannon mounted on the M1A1.
Having been a tank crewman in the US Army, and a German WW2 re-enactor out east, I know a great deal about German tanks and assault guns from the WW2 era, and about all German WW2 weapons in general. I have a personal collection of many german small arms which we use in living history events. Check out my unit at
www.grossdeutschland.com As I was saying, this is a really sweet model. I'm not sure what I'd use it for, but I really want it!
