Ok, here is my progress sofar on the Nethak retexture project.

I think it makes a big difference in the appearance of the model.

What era is this going to be for?

Your red/grey/black version is still cool too.

It doesn't look right.  It should be a heavy cruiser judging from the size of the windows.  Or a command cruiser.  Take off the disruptors and replace them with warp engines.  It looks very similar to some of the FASA designs like the V-7 and the V-27.

Big fan of your designs ( what happened to those kick-ass klinks and roms you had?) but in this case I'd have to say nay.
The Nethak"s current texture makes it look advanced and sleek. I find these textures detract from that look at present. Just my opinion though ( and you know the old saying about opinions).
I'll probably D/l the final version anyway to see it in-game so go for it.

If I tweak it any more I will go mad :b

What you see here is the finished textures. There is still a need to tweak the illumination maps, and make the lod texture/illumination set. This is quiite a big shot, so I have posted it on the server. It contains facing shots so you can get an idea of the changes made. I will post original shots if people wish to see the first version made by Mindblip. This model was built and textured by him for Nightsoft last year.

Once I finish the LOD and illum maps, I will make a specs sheet and post the model for conversion.
