The Klingon Maru Mission !!

Dunno if i am doing something wrong but i have a Lvl3 Tractor (and please dont say i need higher because it wont give me time to go back & get one) and i keep warping to the klingon ship, grabbing it & then it gets pulled away, presumably by the bright swirly thing.
Does anyone know if there is a skip mission option

for some reason the klinks dont want to get tractored in that mission, and will break your first attempt, I have been able to lock on to them a second time and it didnt immediately break, but they were already too far gone by the time i got going in a direction that wouldnt take them into the singularity.  So i too have yet to win at that mission myself, maybe if i were a bit faster, or stop myself near the ship and wait for him to break a level 1 beam, then snag him with a level 2 or 3.

yeah i havent managed to snag them twice yet either.  damn tractor takes too long to charge up !!
I think i managed to come out of warp right on top of them and still, they seem to prefer the big blue hole.
I dont think you can charge your beam up while warping to them either.

Still, i imagine theres loadsa people on this forum that have walked thru it  (smug gits ) and will be able
to impart their infinite wisdom in this matter
