Changing HardPoints - QUESTION

Hey there all.  

     I've been starting out changing the stats for the Galaxy Class as a sort of central point to base all the other ships off of.  I wanted to place the required 14 phasers on the vessel, and realize that it needs many more HardPoints on it then are currently there to support so many Primary Weapons.

     What do I need to do to adjust the Hard Points on the vessel?  Is the only way I can do this is to loadup the actual Galaxy Class mod file back into 3d Studio MAX 4 or whatever and adjust the actual 'dummy' markers that represent the hardpoints, and add more to get the 14 required primary weapon hardpoints?  (I understand that there is a limit of 11 or something for primary)??

Is this the only way....or is there another way to add Hardpoints to a vessel...

Please help me out guys!!

In the defaultcore.txt file, any hardpoint can have a primary or heavy desigation.

I have been successful in making 12-15 primaries on at least one ship in my mod, just to see if it worked.

for your Galaxy,   just make 1-14 primary and the rest heavy. It will work.
