Cann't re-install SFC3
« on: April 15, 2003, 11:30:28 am »
Decided to check out the beta patch.....

Deleted the Activision folder, and everything else related to SFC3.

Put the disk in my drive, and when the title screen comes up, the "install" icon promptly disapeers.

Obviously, my computer or the installation program thinks the game is still installed.

How do I remedy this?

Thanks for any info you may have.....

Did you uninstall it or just delete it?  if you just deleted it go to add\remove programs in the windows control panel then uninstall sfc3.

Ok...

got that registry all figured out....game is reinstalled.

Nemesis add on is installed.

Now, for the NEW problem.   When starting up the patch process, it wants me to put the SFC3 disk in drive "E".

My DVD/CD-ROM drive is G   and my  CD-RW is H.

hmmm.  Guess I shouldn't of tried patching today....LOL !

Thanks for any help

Just open the CD drive (right click and select open) instead of double clicking.  That lets you bypass the autorun.  Find Setup.exe.  Install.  For patching, after installing the game, if it wants you to put it in the E drive and you don't have an E, go to Regedit, find SFC3, and change the drive the game will look in.
