Vl - I might make a Battlehawk, it seems like an interesting ship to hi-res-ify.

Rod - I actually found most of the Trek fonts I use in a single Trek font pack. The one above is 'Romulan Falcon'. Do a search on google, you're bound to find dozens of links to 'em.

Kaenyne - I'd actually planned a few more Roms and Klinks since I'm suffering from Post-Fed-Construction-Syndrome at the moment

I HATE the Taldren Condor, man that ship is ugly and should be forgotten forever, it's just an uglified TMP era D'Deridex. Personally I much prefer Thu11s Condor but, kinda like the Klink D5 the CON is what they call an insurmountable challenge, if someone made it look nice, I'll eat my SFC CD, then go out and buy another copy! What I wanna know is why no one ever does any high res Lyrans, Hydrans, Gorn or Kzinti (the Mirak paint schemes look horrid - long live the Kzinti Hegemony! LOL) these days. A high res Lyran Tiger based on the taldren Tiger would be a beaut, there's a really cool pic on the SFCI manual cover that had a Tiger being destroyed by a B'rel firing a phaser out of it's torpedo tube (Darmok II? )  that's the model they should have put in the game.

Hey WZ!

Fine by me!

Personally, I'd like to see some more Rommies.

Given any thought to making the Valdore? I know there is at least one of them out there, but I've never seen the Gold version.  (hint, hint)

I haven't even seen the film yet, but apparently one Valdore is the familiar green, while the other is and odd gold/bronze shade. Solution: take each texture of the green Valdore already out there and colorise it, I could do it in 15 mins if I had the model, most of it's green so there's minimal masking to be done...

I only discovered the gold version this week. I saw some DVD screen captures of it. I believe the site is www.trekpulse.com

Look in the movies section, select Nemesis and go from there.

Lestat, I can try to email you my Valdore if you'd like.

It's cool, I unearthed it from a folder full of SFCIII stuff, I'm gonna try rearranging the HPs and just leave the glows, it should work in SFCII

Follow the white rabbit:

http://uk.photos.yahoo.com/bc/l35747_485/lst?&.dir=/Star+Trek+stuff&.src=ph&.view=t

don't mind the other stuff in there, it's my ST pic repository. Not much in there now, deleted a load of old cr4p I didn't need.

Edit: almost forgot - find out who did it and email them Re permission to release and I'll email it to anyone who want's to host it (provided the person says yes ofcourse)

Followed the white rabbit to the pics and was very pleased.

I like your other two ships there too. Is one of them an Excalibur BTW?

And as far as I know, the Valdore was modelled by "Dawn" according to www.staryards.com

Unfortunately, I can only access the front page of the site.

You wouldn't happen to know of this Dawn would you?

I know of him, in that I remember the release of this model, and I think he may have posted here, not sure though. I'll have a look see if there's contact info in the readme of the model...

k, got it: dawn29thct@lycos.de is his email, I'll give it a try l8r 2day.

Apparently the .MOD is an EAW/OP file, but there are SFCIII style damage textures along with TI, VL and BS images (for the ship images in SFCIII) so I'll assume for now it's hardpoints work for OP, as that is specifically stated in the readme. Also I removed the odd 'box' of extra polygons that was stuck to the wing in the initial release, but I couldn't fix the gap in the mesh on the underside of the hull, you wont notice it in SFC, maybe if it was in BC or something...

Oh and the Excalibur pic is my character's ship, the Sicilia, it's a basic retexture, the other is a kitbash I made of the Excalibur, Araxes, and Nightstorm's Justice DNX.

Alright!

Thanks for doing the homework.

Admittedly, most of what you said is lost on me, but from the gist of it, it sounds like we have a go on the Valdore (with Dawn's permission pending).

Looking forward to the model.

However it turns out as to getting permission, thanks for your efforts, Lestat!

K, I emailed Dawn, now we gotta wait for him to reply, in the mean time I think we should give WZ his thread back that we so rudely hijacked.
