Where, when SG3??
« on: April 05, 2003, 10:47:22 pm »
When will SG3 be up and running?  I am not sure if anyone is paying attention to posts on the SFC2.net forums about this, but apparently there will be playable Tholians with webs and webcasters.  Maybe this is old news to everyone else, but I think that is just a tremendous accomplishment.  Fantastic, Dizzy!  Really looking forward to it!

SG3 is a combination of efforts from two drifters I found on the side of the road and decided to give a lift, and Tracey, N (ED) W, Karnak, Jinn and S'Cipio and all the rest of you guys helping out...

It is nearly finished. The Tholians webcasters are the hold up at the moment, it needs to be scripted thru the mission as we dont have the source code to utilize... so this takes longer. A lot longer. Looks like a bit over a week b4 the beta comes out. I will soon have some beta shiplists to dl and play with. Stay tuned...

Kudos to y'all if you can get this to work.   A hearty thumbs up for at least trying!

You can try out the first two patrol missions starting toinite on ISC Inv.  What's unique about them is that the patrol missions will attempt to determine if both players in the mission are human-controlled.  If so, all the extraneous AIs will disappear and generate a straight PvP match. That's the theory anyway.

I'll lift the password protection for this week. You can get the downloads needed at www.gfluniverse.net/d2. Server will be up from 8pm to 8am EDT.

Dizzy, send me a Tholian model and it's shiplist entry and I'll start incorporating them into my scripts.
