yeah u got it i just got the game, never really played. except for a short while a long time ago (over a year or so).

-so, are there any expansion packs or big mods i should download? any graphic files and things like that

sounds?

and how do i add my ships into the game?

yeah i have icq thats what i use the most , 40275149 is me number . also, another thing... is there any way to speed up the game? i know theres some ingame button settings for it but havent noticed any speed up

You need to fix up your textures folder. SFC/assets/textures
This is where all the explosion, weapons, shield, etc textures are. Go check out Xenocorp. They put out a really badass texture mod several months back. Also, I have an fx1.bmp at my site that I sorta cut and pasted together. It was a pro job though.

Anyway, its got an improved ship explosion (the best I've seen imho), new shield colors, a neat little leaking plasma texture for when you get damage and the only TMP style phaser texture I've seen that works at all. Granted its not exactly like the TMP phasers, but it was as close as I could get considering the game limitations.

Ok, enough self plugging. lol
Cleeve's site has some excellent ships and if I remember correctly some tutorials on modding the game. If you can't find a particular model that you're just dying to have, email me and I'll see if I can help you out, Mackie.

And as for big full mods, Chris Jones has been doing that for a long time. I've never really got into that because I like to put in ships one at a time, but his mods have good ships and seem to be real popular.

Hey Mackie. If you play conquest mode. Be sure to get the missions from starfleet universe site. Nuclear wessels has some nice ones that use many more ships than the ones the game comes with.

hehe, mackie did you find anything you really liked and would pass along? i just recieved this game as well and am having alot of fun with it. i want to play some mods and get deeper into the game.

I didn't realize that stuff was back up anywhere until last week. Lots of cool TMP stuff there including the D2 mods. Those are a must have in my opinion.
