Just out of curiosity who came up with the name Taldren for the company & what inspired it? Can any Taldrenite answer my query?

I believe this was talked about before, but I just can't remember what thread in the old forum.  If I remember right, the name Taldren is actually an old D&D character name used by one of the Taldren guys.  For some reason I think it was Zach (but I could be wrong).

Originally the company was named something else, but the original name escapes me at the moment.  A Canadian company either started up and wanted that name on the internet so they went ahead, sold it and named the company after the character after spending some time and not finding anything they were satisfied with for a new name, the character Taldren became the go to name.

The name Daew Anahos I believe to be from the Romulan language.  I think Daew (Honest) Anahos (powerful).

I would venture a guess that this is the same person who used to be Riov Anahos isn't it?  Riov being the Romulan word for commander/captain.

Okay Wiseguy, you asked for it...

Daew Anahos is a shortened version of Riov S'LKalabam Daew Anahos

I shortened it to S. Daew Anahos and then finally Daew Anahos since when I am on GameSpy (not much recently work is wearing me out) most just call me Daew. S'LKalabam is a hell of a mouthful.

Yep you get the prize, Emerald Edge, 1000 Unibucks (Disclamier: Prize may not be available in all areas.)

I asked for help from Sethen since he delved heavily into Romulan culture in Refining The Fire and I needed expert help. I was going to be a Romulan, you've got to have a Romulan name right? Some how Jean-Luc Kirk, just didn't seam real Romulan... He pointed me to a Romulan Distonary Site and away I went!

Now that's more then I am sure everyone wanted to know, right?

Edit: Hey Taldren, can you hook us up with a spellchecker next UBB update??? My spelling sucks.

Here's a good site with a Romulan dictionary

Speaking of "Surviving the Fire," is Sethan ever going to finish the story?
