Problem with OP patch
« on: March 23, 2003, 05:29:23 pm »
I just reinstalled  OP and patched the latest patch.  The game loads but when I click on single player campaign, I get booted to desktop.  Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Pent 4 2.53,  Windows XP, Radeon 9700 Pro video card, Sound Blaster audigy.

I can play the single player skirmishes but not the campaigns.

Punkska,
I had the same problem. If you installed the 2525-2538, dump it.
Reinstall OP, download the 2500-2538 patch, install it, and everything should work fine.

Their are two servers currently up and running.

Hope it solves your problem.

Delete your old savegames, they aren't compatible with the new revision.

I reinstalled and patched the 2500-2538, still same problem.  As for save games, I removed the game from the control panel.
Will that remove the saved games ?  OR do I have to remove them manually and where are they located?

Thanks

Hmm... Make sure any files modded and such are set archive (that worked for me when I clicked on a campaign to load it), all of the files in the single player serverprofile have to be set archive for it to work.

The problem I've been having is that it ALWAYS starts in earliest of early eras, without regard to time settings or era selected.

I think your problem is with the OP intro. Point your desktop icon to

C:\Program Files\Taldren Software Inc\Starfleet Command Orion Pirates\StarFleetOP.exe

and see if that helps.

I see one problem still. Did you ever DELETE THE ENTIRE FOLDER for OP? This is a standard practice for some when patching. Delete all of OP, install from CD and patch with latest.
