For SFC2 OP Players -- BADLANDS is up and running

Castrin has brought BADLANDS! back up in the OP D2. It is not a campaign -- just an SFCX server for those of you who have OP to bang around on.  You need to be patched to 2538 to play in the D2 for this server.

This server uses Firesoul's OP Plus shiplist (excellent job, Firesoul!) and the new missions from Nuclear Wessels, known as the famous "Evil Dave" mission scripts. To play on this server you need to download both.

Everything you need (except the game itself LOL), to include the shiplist download and the Evil Dave missions can be downloaded at the SFCX website, in the downloads section for Orion Pirates.  The new OP patch is also available there.

You do not have to be registered to get the downloads -- but I would encourage you to register.

Hope to see some of you there. Once again -- this is not a campaign. There are no victory conditions, etc, just a map, players, and some stress relieving fun .  Additionally, this is not the "Reclamation" campaign project that we are currently working on either. We just want to see how the new shiplist works out, and how it interacts with with the mission scripts.

I've noticed it's 5000 prestige for all, and such.. also, the ship costs are defaults.

.. whatevr happened to building up from your FF and earning your next ship?

Ok. It's still set to start in 2273. Is this proper?
.. and the mission names are still appearing in debug mode. I guess that's ok for testing, but do we need that now?

That's because it's as much for testing as for goofing off. We need to know if this is really playable - ie is DV raising of your own and allied space working WITHOUT having to play as a pirate? Finding out which missions have the right effect is important so that those missions can be evaluated to find out what makes them work, and then revise the ones tha don't work so that they do. I'm surprised you even asked the question, Firesoul, as I  have seen you asking for this information in other threads.

Well, seeing as the ED missions are popular, I think the same applies to them. After all, the only thing possibly in the way of OP D2 becoming a playable reality is the DV effects, from what I can see. And knowing which missions(whether stock or ED) work (if any do) in the desired way, ie they allow own/allied hex DV boosting WITHOUT having to create a second account to play pirate, will hopefully make that possible.
