OK OK OK, Im new to this whole damn mssage board thing. I know enough about computers to get me by and to have fun, I am by far the worst computer user posting on this damn message board, so PLEASE HELP ME!!

I have an ATI Radeon 7000 video card. When I go into my Display Options and switch to 1024x768 resolution everything gets larger and I have to scroll to see the entire screen. For some reason it does not make everything smaller and change to accomodate my monitor. Its pissing me off royally.

Now to the related topic. I have just purchased SFC3 and would love to play ths game. Unfortunetly when I goto the "Configure Starfleet Command 3" under my start menu, the only resolution I have available is 1024x768. My display WILL NOT change, no matter what I do. I start the game and only 1/2 the screen is visible. I cant see essential buttons or change essential options. Im sure you can see my frustration at this point. The game is all but un-playable and I am about to put my fist through this infernal machine. Someone...Anyone...please aide me in my time of need, otherwise a perfectly good computer is goin to go for a trip three stories to the ground below.

This is greatly appreciated, I have been a fan of Trek and Trek games since the very beggining. I'd hate to ruin all that over something as stupid as this.

Ok, so your saying that your video card supports the resolution, but not your monitor.... if that is the case, contact the manufacturer of your monitor and or upgrade your monitor or it's device drivers....

Kinda sorta...

Before I installed this Video Card, the monitor would goto 1024x768 perfectly, not a problem.

But after I put the card in and the drivers in, it started being stupid.

I dunno wat to say chief...I CANT PLAY GAMES WITHOUT THIS CARD AND I CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY ANOTHER CARD

Check your catalisat drivers for your vid Card... you may want to try an earlier version of the drivers as compared to the latest set.... see which works for you the best.... also make sure that your Active Desktop is set to the higher resolution and make sure your monitor is set correctly as well (under Advanced under settings in desktop properties)

that's about all I know from here without more accurate information...
