DOE Coming back up soon
« on: March 23, 2003, 07:19:32 pm »
My apologies to those who are posting about tapping their feet impatiently.  .  I'm ironing out a last minute, unexpected wrikle.  (There is always a last-minute unexpecte wrinklle!)  Shouldn't be long now.

Really

Honest

The BPV plan seems to have fixed the "too many AI carriers" problem.  I've been able to fly for a couple of hours and not see a carrier.  Unless I buy a CVA, or course, in which case I often fight Lucifer himself.

Now it's just getting the missions to show up properly, which seems to be solved as well.  (Dave's one-on-ones were only showing up in friendly space, leading to far too much fleet action in enemy space.)  But that seems fixed.

Patience grasshopper.

:: Cut to a wide-angle shot of hedgerows, fields and trees ::

John 'Cheese' Cleese:  " In this picture there are forty people. None of them can be seen. In this film we hope to show you how not to be seen.  This is Mr. I.M. J'inn of Napier Court, Black Lion Road London SE5. He can not be seen. Now I am going to ask him to stand up. 'Mr. J'inn will you stand up please.' "

:: In the distance Mr J'inn stands up. There is a loud gunshot as Mr J'inn is shot in the stomach. He crumples to the ground.  Heavy laughter is heard from a Mr DH123 ::

John 'Cheese' Cleese:  "This demonstrates the value of not being seen. "

"This is Mrs. Kroma BaSyl of 13, The Crescent, Bradshaw.  Mrs. BaSyl, please stand up"

-large gorn in a tutu hesitantly stands up in the distance, only to have her very large feet shot out from under her-

Oops!  You're not going to like the new download, then, are you?  My apologies, but it had to be done.  The Gorn fighters had a bug, the Fed-DNH had an R-Torp and an ESG on hidden weapons mounts, and the versions of Dave's patrol scripts I had would only show up in friendly territory.  (He had done this to help solve the Neutral Coop bug, but it was causing too many fleet actions on my server.  And I don't have a lot of neutral space anyway.)

EDIT: Only Convert2.zip will have to be redownloaded.  Convert1.zip is still A-OK.
