Not on subject but...
« on: January 21, 2003, 09:15:54 pm »
I have been looking for a copy of Star Trek SFC Gold Edition. My original copy was lost and I have had no luck with any of the normal outlets.
My first recourse was to contact Interplay directly, this was their response: " We regret to inform you that the title you are looking for is no longer in production or available for purchase through us. Interplay Entertainment Corp. has ceased all manufacturing of that product. One way you could get your hands on it is used, perhaps at your local game retailer or at an online auction."
So I tried Ebay but the result was a scam for my credit card number, which was sheer hell getting through.
I also tried Amazon.com but the game is either out of stock or the company that has it will not ship to an APO/FPO address.
They don't seem to understand that even though I am stationed over seas the APO/FPO address is still considered a normal US address.
Being stationed here in the Republic of Korea the Star Trek genre is nill, nada, none. All they play here is starcaft, diablo2 and that damn everquest crap.
So if anyone is willing to help it is much appreciated. Heck I might just send you something nice from "Freedom's Frontier" to boot.
My e-mail addies are Jayvthompson03@yahoo.com and therealredleg@yahoo.com. The former is my professional addie, the latter is personal.
Thank you and good gaming.

Here's a question in all seriousness:
If i were to make a copy if my gold edition, and send it out to Korea, would that be illegal, given that you can't really buy it anywhere?

Here, this may be a better option: SFC inside Gamefest
It's nit the same as the gold edition, but I'm sure we can help you out with the other stuff that came with the original box.
