Old Romulan Looking for a home....
« on: March 15, 2003, 05:30:03 pm »
Well, my reintroduction to SFC via SFC3 has now hit a snag.  Since the closing of my favorite server, I am inclined to come back to SFC2 and try again.  I say try again, because i never see anything in the multiplayer campaigns listing, leading me to believe that I am missing something, or doing something wrong.  I very much enjoyed playing on a LOS type server  (ie. litterbox) and found the comradrie and professionalism most refreshing.

Can someone(s) please help me find my way?

I did meet, or at least thought I had, a nice gentlerom who seemed to be enlightened as to the existence of an organization called the SPQR.  Upon looking into this further, i believed it to be a ruse or a smokescreen, as I could not find confirmation of this anywhere.............      If anyone could put me in touch with "another" romulan organization that might welcome a lost soul who needs to relearn how to play, please let me know!   (or 'Dont' let me know as the case may be)

Time for a drink......

The reason you dont see a server is cuz D2 servers now run one after another and dont overlap. DOE is the next campaign. It starts very soon...

Read some of the DOE threads here.

After DOE is SG3.

Good to have ya back...

So until the campaign statts... not much happeneing yet.

When you say you don't see anything in the multiplayer campaign listing then you are saying that you do have a problem. Right now there are three servers showing in the EAW-D2 and one in the OP-D2. Check that you have the latest versions on the title screen at start-up. In the lower right corner you should see 2.0.3.6 for EAW and 2.5.2.5 for OP. If you don't have that then you have version problems. Look to FilePlanet or the XC website for patch files. Post again for more help or to say the issue is resolved.

Thank you for the help.  As it turned out, I solved the problem last night, and was able to see 2 servers on the dynaverse.  The problem arose when I applied the latest patch for 2036 yesterday.  Apparently the patch didnt patch like it was supposed to.  When i went on gamespy to try and play, it locked up and said i had the wrong version.  When i resatarted the game, it said i was using 2007.  I reapplied the patch and it still said I was using 2007.  So, i uninstalled the program, and then reinstalled it from the original disk, then applied the patch.  Now everything works splendidly.  Now all i have to do is remember how to play SFC2........    Thanks Again!

Well Gumby I am the SPQR you mentioned in the previous message Sorry I failed to get an E mail off to you, very busy fightin off the feds on another server,so ,the forums that we use are sfc2.net ,all kinds of info there, the DOE (Day of the Eagle) server is scheduled to start on the 21st of march, watch for that ,and as I am but a lowly anti tribune in SPQR I am unable to give you more info at this time, however I will get an E mail out to you

Since there is no such thing as an SPQR fleet, I deny ever trying to make contact in the first place.  Furthermore, i would also deny any futile attempts to contact me, citing that my junkmail filter thought it was porn and threw it out.

In addition.....  My name is spelled Raymond Luxury Yacht  (Pronounced- Throatwobbler Mangrove)

I regret that i cannot officially show my unbridled enthusiasm that i was passed over because someone was fighting Feds....

I deny that Pardek is autorized to deny the membership of Mocton. However, I agree that there is no Mocton in SPQR.
