I think your onto something here..... could you fill the area between the 2 post supporting the nacels.  Hmm.... very interesting.

I tried adding a weapons pod.  Maybe its getting too cluttered now.

Just worrying about the design aspects at this point. Gotta try out different stuff till it looks right. Any suggestions beside give up, because I am far too stuborn for that.

I think I worded that wrong.       I meant underneath the nacels.  Kinda like an I-beam.  I'm not even sure what it will end up looking like, I just wanted to see if it would look right.

I think you're right about the clutter. I think the pod is also the wrong shape to look good too. I'm not sure what the right shape is...lol

Thanks for the suggestions. I am finding them helpful. I think if I put anything directly under the nacell (beteewn struts) it would need to be fancy. Like a support the isnt a straight beam, butt a curved one with a couple holes in it or whatever too add more to the design. That would take too many polies to justify. THis ship is around 6000 or so as is.

Due mainly because it has 2 hulls which each have 1000. Of course I could sacrifice the weapons pod.

btw the weaopons pod is actually part of the botton saucer( about 1/5 of it)  the same pod is also in place below the saucer.
There it looks perfect but as Starforce points out. It don't look quite right where it is now.

So for sure I will try to make more room in the middle by angleing the struts out perhaps.  I have another shape for the pod in mind. Also will play with something  between the struts as suggested.

May just release a version and open it up for bashing and retexturing. Obviously there are people better at both of those than me.

Nother pic. I  added curve to the struts like before. Also narrowed them.   Added another set of struts. Think I 'll go back to textures now.

Ah, now this one is beginning to look Starfleet.  This might a good direction to take off from with this model.
