Something weird in my single player conquest
« on: January 21, 2003, 02:52:50 pm »
Ive been playing a single player conquest campaign for sometime now. I currently have about 90k prestige saved up. The game works fine on my machine. I have never experience any kind of crashes of any kinds. Last night I fired up sfc3 to continue my conquest and I noticed when I enter the tactical portion of the game, the voice over was missing. I checked the options page and I have the voice turned on with max volume but I still dont hear anything. The music and sound was fine just the missing voice. I rebooted my machine but still no voice....Please help..

Also on one mission where I attacked the rommies, as soon as I entered and went to red alert the rommie ship blew up with me firing a shot. Huh?? Whats going on here??

Last problem I have. Im currently flying a Defiant with 2 Norways as my Fleet Mates. We manage to survive lots of battles together then all of a sudden one of them just left with me dismissing him. His ship was not destroyed or anything, he just left my fleet plus he had built up a huge amount of prestige with me. Anyone had this happened before?

Thanks for your replies.

To fix the voices problem go into your SFC3 file inside your Activision folder and find a file called sfc.ini (it's the one shaped like a notepad with a little yellow gear on it). Scroll down until you see an entry called - Voices=0 and change the 0 to a 3. That will fix that problem.

The ships blowing up is a known issue and hopefully be addressed in the upcoming patch. As far as the last one I really don't know, but I think the AI can choose to leave your fleet on it's own.
