After a LONG hiatus from SFC2, I ordered a brand new copy from Amazon (said it was their last one.) I need to know what the newest version of the patch is and also any suggestions as to the best place for D2 play now, as well as the mods I might need and where to get them.

Any help would be generously rewarded with a public "Thanks" from this returning EAW expatriate... what an incentive!

I believe the latest version of the game is 2.0.3.6., it should be available in a few places:

As well as a few others. As for where to play, can't help with that one, since I haven't in a while. But at least you can get yourself patched up. I'm guessing the place to play is probably the place with the most people, anymore, though.

Thanks a lot Emerald & Steel Claw. Saved me a lot of time looking for that stuff.

Reading posts all about the speed/weapon charging time thing, ECM, drones, PFs, 6 shields, T-bombs, well I could go on and on... makes me wonder why I abandoned SFC2 for SFCLite.

I should be back on the D2... just as soon as the UPS truck shows up (or I manage to ransack my apartment & find my old copy)
