In a Pink Floyd vein, there is a band who did the entire Dark Side album as reggae covers.  Before you laugh, it's actually quite good.  It's called 'Dub side of the moon' and it comes complete with bong noises.  Just thought I'd put it out there.

Yes, Kroma, I still have the dragon.  But from me to thee, answer these riddles three:

    1) What is the only Beatles song the Beatles didn't perform in the studio?

    2) Who wrote the lyrics "Power was to become cheap and clean, grimy faces were never seen.  Deadly for 10,000 years is carbon 14"

    3) What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?

 1) You're NOT KROMA!

 2) Name the album and song.

 3) Face me in open combat, and bring your panties.

1. Glad you know the difference... <snicker>

2. We Work The Black Seam - Dream Of The Blue Turtles
And by the way, the lyric was "Deadly for 12,000 years is carbon 14"

3. How soon you forget our tangles on AOTK, my friend...

Its simple matter of weight ratios.....A 6 oz bird can't carry a 1 lb coconut......

And if we are talking Sting tunes...How bout Moon over Bourbon street?  I like the old Police stuff better myself (who know the Police tune "On any other day"  its funny as heck.) but sting is pretty good by himself.

Chuut,  it was an EARLY (and I mean early) Genesis bootleg I found at a yardsale.  IT's called From Genesis to Revelation.  Turning Japanese?  The Vapors happened to be an excellent band that had a hit then vanished all to fast.  Fruit flies last longer.  Here's an off the wall one for ya Chuut:

  There were some scientists
sitting round thinkin bout the sasquatch riddle.
When they figured out he was the missing link.

  In search of sasquatch,
That was a kickass 'In Search Of'
With Leonard Nimoy kickin out the jams.

  Hint: Cleveland steamer
          Buttress of Windsor
          Block of Bach

OK, Chuut the former alternative college radio station DJ was totally stumped, however Chuut the internet surfing guru was not:

He captured imagination,
Of people all around the globe.

His name was Sasquatch, so I'm told.

His legend's ancient
in the ancient scribe of the indian tribe.
Apache tribe.

So I guess you got me this time, but Tenacious D is not really my style of music here anyhow, so I'm not surprised.

He is one for you G'Warlock

Johnny was bad.
Even as a child everybody could tell
Everyone said, "If you don't get straight you'll surely go to Hell."
But, Johnny didn't care.
He was an outlaw by the time that he was ten years old.
He didn't wanna do what he was told.
Just a prankster.
A juvenile gangster!

Ok, here is a Chuut-Ritt special

CHUUT-RITT BABY

Yo, KAT, Let's kick it!

Chuut-Ritt Baby
Chuut-Ritt Baby
All right stop
Collaborate and listen
Chuut is back with my brand new intention
My tractor grabs a hold of you tightly
I?m Shooting drones like harpoons daily and nightly
Will it ever stop?
No?till your ship blows
Turn off the lights and it glows
To the extreme I?m more than you can handle
Light up the Dyna and wax your ship like a candle.

Dance
Bum rush the scatterpack doom
I'm owning your space making it my room
Deadly, when I play a saber-dance melody
If your anything less that the best is a felony
Love it or leave it
You better give way
Cause I?ll hit your bullseye
If you decide to stay
If there was a hex
Yo, I'll flip it
Check out the map while my Kzin all ?nip it

Chuut-Ritt Baby (x4)

Now that the Dyna is jumping
With the KOTH kicked in, and the KATs are pumpin'
Quick to the point, to the point no faking
I'm cooking enemies like a pound of bacon
Grabbing them if they're not quick and nimble
Half crazy and a Dyna sex symbol
In a pimp hat with a ship that I like
I'm on a roll and it's time to Deepstrike
Rollin in my MDC
Got their homeworld flipped before they even notice me
The opposition must be high
Just watching as I fly by
Did you stop?
No--I just flew by
Kept on pursuing to the next place
I busted a left and I'm heading to the next base
That base was dead

Yo--so I continued to Hex 1,1 top left for the view.
Ememies were hot swearing as I drank Martinis
Moving fast in my Kzinti Lamborghini
Zealous 'cause I'm out to win
Crazy with a laugh and Chuut with a grin
Reading for the chumps on the wall
The Chumps are acting dazed because they're so enthralled
A dragnet ranged out like a bell
I looked at the map--
All I saw were cheesefleets
Closing on my hex real fast
Jumped in my light, slipped my way past
Side by side the map was packed
I'm tryin to get away before the gangbang attack
Dreadnaughts on the scene
I said what the hell
They passed me up, only saw my warp trail
If there was a hex
Yo, I'll flip it
Check out the map while my Kzin all ?nip it

Chuut-Ritt Baby (x4)

Take heed, 'cause I'm a lyrical poet
M?raa?s the only scene just in case you didn't know it
My place , that created all the Kzin race
That fly in and quickly take your home space
'Cause my style gives observers a thrill
Strategy that you can vision and feel
Executed in force
This is a hell of a concept
We make it happen and you want to step with this
Cyan speads on the field, slice it like a phaser 4
Explodes like a Mark IV yield so fast
Other races say, "Damn"
If my rhyme was the ?Nip
I'd have to get a bigger ship
Keep my composure when it's time to get busy
Magnetized by my form as I dance my dizzies
If there was a hex
Yo, I'll flip it
Check out the map while my Kzin all ?nip it

Chuut-Ritt Baby (x4)

Yo man--let's get out of here!
Word to your homeworld!

Chuut-Ritt baby    Too Bold
Chuut-Ritt baby    Too Bold Too Bold (3X).........................

Kroma, once again, a day late and a tutu short.  The answer to #2 was Sting - We Work The Black Seam.  Noone guessed the answer to question #1.  HAHAHAHA!  Chuut, your damned internet searches are becoming confusing.  It was Tenacious D, the best band that ever lived.  As for the answer to question 3 - You have to know these sort of things when you're king.

And to my favorite Aussie wench - don't F with me on trivia.  Specific knowledge is grand, but to be a master of none and a knower of all takes WAAAAY more time.  I STILL have your panties.

Correction, there were more than 1....

"Grow Old with Me"
"Faithhealer"
"Nothing to Eat" (aka "Albert" on God Help Us)
"Horror of the Fire" (alt. on God Help Us)
"Man Makes the Clothes"
"Pruf"

all fit the bill,  there may be others as well G'Warlock, you are slipping....

Chuut - careful Queen doesn't sue you for plagerism.

Gornrule - Master of all and specialist of nonem huh? I have alot od useless info packed into my head too. But somehow I get the feeling that we cover different areas.

I read a lot of sports, history and music. But I am not restricted to them.

Care to try a few questions.

Start with this one (you too Tracey)

Name the group in the Rock and Roll hall of fame that was originally known as "The New Yardbirds", but changed their name when the drummer of another HOF group made a derogatory comment about them.

Correct!

The legendary Keith Moon of The Who made the comment,

"They'll go over like a lead zeppelin."

The named was changed partly to spite him, partly 'cuz they liked it better.

Next question,

There are two artists that have been inducted twice into the Hall of Fame.

Who are they?

Hint: One is obvious, the other, not-so-obvious.

Paul McCartney for the Beratles and Himself.

Eric Clapton for the Yardbirds, Cream, and Himself.

John Lennon for the Beratles and Himself.

Neil Young for Buffalo Springfield and Himself.
