In the Flesh?
« on: March 14, 2003, 08:33:43 am »
So ya,
Thought ya,
Might like to go to the show,
To feel the warm thrill of a warp engine,
That neon blue glow,
Tell me is something eluding you sunshine?
Is that asteroid not what you expected to see?
If you'd like to find out what's behind those cold rocks,
You'll just have to claw your way through that cloaking device

So ya,
Thought ya,
Might like to go to play on DOE,
To feel the warm thrill of an escape pod,
That plasma-R glow,
I've got some bad news for you sunshine,
Cleopatra isn't well, she stayed back in the hotel,
And they sent us along as a surrogate band,
And we're gonna find out where you SOS really stand,

Are there any Gorns in the theatre tonight,
Get em up against the rocks... <get... them... up>
There's one in a tractor beam, he don't look right to me,
Get him up against the wall, <get... him... up>
That one looks drunk,
And that one's wearing a pink tutu,
Who let all this riff raff onto the server,
There's one smoking a joint,
Another with PF's!
If the SOS had their way,
They'd have all of you shot!

(from Pink Floyd - The Wall, just in case you didn't know)

Another brick in the wall

J'inn has flown across the asteroid field,
Leaving just a memory,
A snapshot in the saved screenshots folder,
J'inn what else did you leave for us,
J'inn what d'ya leave behind for us,
All in all its just another dead KAT in the wall,
All in all they're all just, dead KATS in the wall,

We don't need no cloaking devices,
We don't need no drone control,
No battle carriers in the shipyard,
Klinks leave the KATS alone,
Hey methane breathers leave the KATS alone,
All in all, its just another daed KAT in the wall,
All in all, you;re all just dead KATS in the wall

I don't need no shields around me,
I don't need no marines to calm me,
I have seen the writing in the forums,
Don't think I need anything at all,
No, don't think I need any ship at all,
All in all, it was just dead KATS in the wall,
All in all, you were all just dead KATS in the wall

I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of this picture of J'inn taken during a debriefing after his infamous AOTK Asteroid collision(s).

Oooooooooooh babe
Don't leave me now,
Don't say it's the end of the mission,
Remember the photon torpedoes I sent,
I need you babe,
To put you through a t-bomb shower,
In front of my fleet mates,
Oooooooooooh babe, don't leave me now,
How could you go?
When you know you still have some hull left,
To beat you to a pulp on a Saturday night,
Oooooooooooh babe,
Don't leave me now,
How can you treat me this way,
Running away,
I need you babe,
Why are you crossing the map border?
Ooooooooooooh babe......

Run Like Hell

Run... run... run...
Run... run... run...
You better make your ship up in your favorite disguise
With your ECM shift up real high and your roller blind eyes,
With your empty fighter bay and your blackened hull sides,
Feel the bile rising as your tortured ship flies,
With your nerves in tatters,
As the warp engine shatters,
And the disruptors batter down your shields,
You better run like hell,

You better run all day and run all night,
And keep your phaser fire deep inside,
And if you take your PF's out tonight,
You better park your ship well out of sight,
Cos if they catch you in the backseat trying to shoot your plasma-F's,
They're gonna send you back to your RM in a cardboard box,
You better run

Uh Tracey ... Barry Manilow?   And we had thought so highly of you ...

But to allow an inspirational thread digress from the heights of Pink Floyd down to the bowels of a BM ...

As a matter of fact, there's no dark side of the moon really, it's all dark.

They were all from Pink Floyd - The Wall.

Barry Manilow? who's he? <gets out out tome of ancient history of music>

Just think yourself lucky I didn't start singing Nine Inch Nails!!

ooh ooh ooh!!!! NIN

<thinks better of typing the words to *that* song (Tracey, you know which one, so please don't hurt me!!!)>

Actually, the first symptom of campaign withdrawl is the sudden outburst of posts of epic length that start harmlessly but end in all sorts of sexual innuendo.... not that there's anything wrong with this

You let me violate your space,
You let me desecrate your starbase,
You let me penetrate your shields,
You let me complicate your warp field,
<Help me> I broke apart my scatterpacks,
I've got no comms button to tell,
<Help me> The only thing that works for me,
Help me get away from myself,

I wanna <deleted> you like a Klingon,
I wanna scan you from the inside,
I wanna <deleted> you like a Kzinti,
My whole ordinance is lost,
You get me closer to making Fleet Admiral!

You can't help my firing solution,
You can't help the hit and runs that it brings,
You can't have my absence of ship damage,
You can't have my G-Racks,
<Help me> Tear down my t-bomb supplies,
Is that your drone loadout I can smell,
<Help me> You make me maneuver eratically,
Help me fire at somebody else,

I wanna <deleted> you like a Lyran,
I wanna see your hull from the inside,
I wanna <deleted> you like a Gorn,
My whole ECM interference is lost,
You get my G-Racks closer to running hot

I'm partial to jazz myself. Do you know any Anita Baker or Basia?

Although I like Pink Floyd (don't worry Tracey, I for one recognised them all instantly) I've always been kinda partial to Queen for D2 forum adaptions.

Interested?

Well I like a little hard house and trance  and old rock and old heavy metal too
The wall came out in 79 ( I was 4) my sister liked it and the sex pistols too and as I had the bedroom next to her's I soon got a taste for it too(much to the horror of my mum and dad )
