SFC3 Dynaverse with Windows 7 32 and 64 bit
« on: December 25, 2011, 07:51:57 pm »
The SFC3 Dynaverse is definitely playable with Windows 7. I spent quite a while changing this setting and that setting. Ultimately, I had to enable DMZ. That did the trick. Also, my firewall and anti-spy/virus are enabled and it doesnt interfere at all.

Hello

I installed too the "server kit build 534 B" on Windows 7 64bit platform and it works very well.

To avoid any networks problems you should check the authorization for the program by the windows 7 firewall first => authorize the program in private mode, public mode is too much restrictive (private is as at your home, public is as in public place)

For those they have some router, you have to activate the DMZ to do simple, but you'd better to take time to setup your WAN port to LAN port (NAT/PAT) like follow:

WAN port listening to LAN port listening
TCP 6073
TCP 8085
TCP 26100 - 26110
TCP 27100 - 27110

UDP 2302 - 2400
UDP 6073
UDP 8085
UDP 27100 - 27110

every port or range port must be transmited to the ONE and alone server IP address (the computer who run the server kit)

For pass the Directplay host test you must add a line in the .\SFC3\sfc.ini file
search for:
[Meta]

at least add the following line:
IPAddress=A.B.C.D   => replace A.B.C.D by your public IP address checked by consulting http://checkmyip.com/
you could replace IP address by DNS name if you have an account like no-ip or other, much useful for those they have IP address changing every time.

save and close the file, launch the game and have fun :)

With this setup my server is running good.
The fail is i have a bad CD key and i can't play on my own server... THAT'S AN HERESY !!!!! :(

I can get though most of the login details except all of my old accounts it says server refused connection and pretty much the same when i click the create new account button
Any suggestions?
