Captain  Adam is correct (post on models).  I do apologize if I alienated anyone.  I have always endeavored to answer questions I can, I ask when unsure and for community involvement.  This is not meant to be a one man show.  I am pushing or alpha  this March.

The model format is not my area of expertise.  I has been raised before ans valid reason gived to not use 3ds format.  I do not have much on mod format, but I will try.

When I came onboard the goal was CE, this did not start till after, and is volunteer, part time.  I apologize for delays.

I reed the forums.  I will not use anothers work without permission. 

I also signed an NDA for EAW and CE source code and have one now to protect against ADB, whom have contacted me.

I will try to answer specific questions but I am human and do not read minds.

Probably not, will be up to Dyna/Xenocorp. I think it should be by sign up

Easier to answer what is not going to br ready.  All modele/graphics as I think as others see the game it will be forthcoming.  Alao
no multiplayer as dyna coding.

You should consider open testing bc lets be frank, how many people are going to sign up?
There's not many around here on a day to day basis. The people who show their heads once every four months aren't going to be good testers. You need active members not inactive members.

I will need Frey's input.  I hace seen a hibdful on and all shuld be testwers if they want it.

just thinking out loud, maybe focus on romulan/federation to start, make it eas to mod and help others.

I minimize copyright and models/graphics needed for release.

To be honest,

You only need three model for a race:
A ship,
A shuttle,
A station.

Others can be modded or added.
BB, CV, BC, DN, CC, CA, CL, DD, DW, FF, POL, FA, etc. These are just ships.
SH, FTR, PF are small crafts that can be launched from ships.
SB, BTS, BS, LP, SD, these are stations.

Given two races, three model each, to show modders how things work. I believe a lot of people will be interested.
A version 0.1 release just needs 6 models and 1 match script.
